THE CONGO DRAMA

An important and eventful chapter in our history is the Congodrama of November 27, 1964. During the troubled period in Aba, in the diocese of Mahagi, four of our Belgian sisters became martyrs of the faith.

These four sisters gave their lives, out of love for Christ and the people they served. Their example remains a source of inspiration and strength within our congregation.

To commemorate 60 years of this Congodrama, we had a Eucharist on November 27th, 2024 at Aba, where the life testimonies of our 4 sisters is still very much present, and on December 8th, 2024 at Ingelmunster.
